So I purchased this dress months ago at the beginning of the season and I’m finally getting around to wearing it, so I’m kind of glad I was rushing around frantically this morning. I love the bright blue and white stripes and the cute criss-cross detail at the waistline. Plus the fit and flare cut of it is so cute and flattering. However, in the time since I’ve purchased this dress I have run across several others practically just like it in a variety of stores. I’m not really sure how I feel about that. Am I more “Yay – this dress must be really on trend!”? Or more of “Hmmm… not so original.”? How do y’all feel if and when you find yourself in the same situation?
I thought this pretty, bright yellow flower necklace would really pop against the blue. Plus it offers a lot of impact on a very simple look. It’s too hot to add a completer piece and a belt would have interrupted the criss-cross design at the waist line. Wanted to make the most of the accessory I did add.
Completed today’s look with these bright yellow pumps. So after making a mad dash of it this morning, in the end I put this together in all of about two minutes. Yay for easy dresses!
