This morning I woke up up with the most amazing faux hawk. I mean, it was seriously cute. Then I pondered, “Why I have never styled my hair this way intentionally? Am I a faux hawk kind of person? Well, no, I’m not. But maaaybe it could be fun… someday. One day. Not today, though!” My son Hunter can totally rock a faux hawk, but he’s like twenty and completely adorable. He might not think it is so cool on his Mom. Anyway, some random meanderings going on in my head here this morning. Maybe one day I will be brave and you will be around to witness it.
Ok, meanwhile I Am brave enough to wear this girly, twirly tulle skirt. This happens to be one of my very favorite fashion trends of the moment. I know there are many opinions about them, and mine happens to fall into the “why not, you only live once?!” category. It’s fashion, not science, so why not have some fun with it? The worst that could really happen is someone isn’t a fan. Chances are you will hear many more compliments than snark.
Went for the whole look today by layering on several necklaces – thank you very much, Coco Chanel – adding a rosette belt, and my lovely BCBG “Cynthia” Pumps. They make me think of Cinderella and her glass slippers, so of course they are suitable for this fairy tale skirt. Now I am off to have a lovely day at the office – Hope you do, too!
