I misplaced my Canon remote and decided to try a less expensive remote hoping my original would show up soon. My thinking was that it couldn’t hurt to have two and since I didn’t want to shell out the $40 Best Buy wanted, I went with the Insignia brand for half the cost. Well, that didn’t turn out at all like I expected. My Canon remote has two settings – one that shoots immediately and one that has a 2-3 second delay (which is what I always use). The Insignia only has the immediate setting, which really was Not working for me, as you will see in these photos. Lessons learned, I should have just gone with what I Knew worked. This remote will be going back.
OK, on to today’s look. It occurred to me I pretty much never try any monochromatic looks, with the exception of black. I know why, too. I tend to get caught up on colors not being perfectly matched and just cancel the whole idea. Well, I realize that is me letting my own thoughts get in the way and decided to try multiple shades of blue. Once I got past the matchy-matchy mindset I was able to embrace how the different shades look together.

So, how do you feel about monochromatic looks? Drawn to them or a pass?
