So last Friday I was out taking my normal outfit posts to share here on the blog. It was a super cute casual look that I will now have to wear again, because you are not going to see those photos. The day was super windy and my hair was standing straight on top of my head in every one of them. Well after taking a handful of photos, a ginormous gust blows on in and sends my tripod and CAMERA toppling. Let me tell you, I was in a Panic. I picked them up and dusted everything off. Tried to take a photo and was met with this click, click, click, click, click – like the lens was trying desperately to focus, but just couldn’t. As soon as 5:00 came, I drove straight to my local photo store to discover the prognosis. Turns out my lens was broken. As the technician was trying it out some dirt became dislodged and the glass literally popped out on the counter. Nice. As sad as that was, at least the camera itself was not harmed, which is the most important thing. I love my little “nifty fifty” lens and it is my fave for blog photos. Basically this is why I didn’t have an outfit photo yesterday. I pulled out one of my other lenses for today’s photos, but intend to get a replacement this week.
Wearing: Blazer – NY&Co. // Dress – Joe Fresh – JCPenney // Shoes – Nine West “Love Fury”// Jewelry – Burlington
Today I decided to just keep it simple with a monochromatic look. I love this navy striped dress because it is such a versatile piece. Dressed up or dressed down it is also extremely comfortable. I added the jacket because it is a cold and rainy day here. Boo. Finally added this small. mint statement necklace for a bit of contrasting color. And because it’s pretty. ❤
