Running late today, as blogging was the last thing on my mind this weekend. So, I decided to do another “Currently” post because I know I always enjoy reading them and hope you do, too.
Exercising with TKO – Trying my best to get back into a regular exercise routine again. I used to try to walk every day at lunch, but it has just been too darn hot. When I get home in the evenings I have to make myself get out the door immediately before everything else gets in my way. One thing I have been incorporating lately is jumping rope with my TKO jump rope. Since I always seem to be in a time crunch, I am all about doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sets, and I always throw in some rounds of skipping rope. Talk about a workout! Did you know you can burn 170 calories in just 15 minutes of jumping rope? Not only is it a quick way to get your fitness on, but it is also portable and very affordable. Skipping rope is a great all over body workout, and also has less impact on your joints. TKO offers a wide variety of fitness products you can check out here!
Making – Long, long lists. Been feeling overwhelmed by all the things I know I should be doing and keep putting off. A to-do list always makes me feel better, like things are more under control, and there is nothing more satisfying than checking off something once it is complete.
Listening to – Jack Johnson. Something about the warmer weather just makes me want to pull out my Jack Johnson CDs and have a personal dance party – usually while I am cleaning the kitchen or folding laundry. Something about it his music just makes me happy and definitely makes the mundane pass quicker.
Organizing – my basement. You know how it is, it is just too easy to take advantage of that out of site, out of mind mentality. I love having all of the extra space, but have seriously got to get on top of putting everything back in order again. I did work some this weekend on it and feel a little better, but really need to spend a good day just going through boxes and getting rid of stuff.
Reading – Pride and Predjudice. Again. this is my favorite book and I just have to read it periodically and it’s been awhile. I love all of Jane Austen’s books, but this is my very favorite for Elizabeth’s wit and, of course, Mr. Darcy. I watched the PBS miniseries again a few months ago, and it is my favorite of the film versions. I love Jane Austen so much my oldest son’s middle name is Austen in her honor.
So there you have a few things going on with me at the moment.
Disclosure: I was provided the TKO jump rope to try, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
