Happy Friday! Y’all, I am so sorry for my absence these past couple of days. My camera, my computer, or something, ate my photos (I must say, I am Not thrilled with these pics, so I wish it had been these they hijacked – my camera and I are not on the best of terms lately) and life just took precedence. After stressing over it for a bit, I just had to shake it off and remind myself this blog is just a hobby.
With that being said, I have decided I am backing off from five posts a week, to three. They will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I will, of course, continue with the Charming Friday Link-up with Susan every week, and may occasionally throw in a weekend post. My schedule just no longer has the flexibility it used to, and I want to maintain some balance in my life. I want this blog to stay fun for me and to keep it going without facing burnout. Meanwhile, I feel cutting back will help me be more focused on what I showcase here, while also giving me the freedom to repeat some of my favorite looks at work without automatically thinking, “I can’t wear this today, because I’ve already worn it on the blog…”. Not to mention it is difficult to be creative every single day, especially when you have other things more pressing to consider at 6 in the morning. “Have I completed those reports?” “Have those travel arrangements been made?” “Am I completely ready for that meeting?” “Did I take care of the catering? Wait, do Hunter and Spencer have something to eat today…?!”
My hope is by cutting back I can offer a little more diversity here. I do not have quite the same flexibility in my wardrobe options as I had in the past, due to my recent employment change. Yes, I can rock a pencil skirt look, but I don’t think y’all want to see that every day! Believe me, when you take photos every single day of the week, taking photos on the weekend isn’t so high on your priority list. So I feel I will be inclined to do more weekend and evening photo shoots with the new schedule. I also just really want to have the time to actually respond to comments and visit other blogs I love, not to mention more time to relax and enjoy my family.
