I am super excited about today’s post, as I am thrilled to be included with a special group of stylish ladies and their series called The Fab 40’s as their very first guest blogger! I have been a fan of this series since its inception and love seeing how these fabulous bloggers over forty put their individual spin on each month’s chosen style trend. So far they have featured Marsala & denim, jumpsuits, gingham, lace, and leopard print. This month’s selected style is menswear.
Since I typically dress on the feminine side, I really enjoyed this challenge. I actually have more menswear inspired pieces in my wardrobe than I realized and had a lot of fun choosing which look I would actually wear for this post. I finally settled on this pinstriped button up, a pink polka dotted “tie”(of course!), my black heeled oxfords and shorts. I originally contemplated going with my white wide legged trousers, but finally decided since I was stepping out of my norm I might as step all the way out and have some fun with it. I felt like I had some swagger walking around in this look!
Oh, and my “tie” is actually a sash I simply tied as a tie. Just a little reminder to try to think outside of the box when considering your wardrobe.

So enough about me, let’s get on to the the other menswear inspired looks from The Fab 40’s ladies. I hope you enjoy their spin on menswear as much I do.
