Believe it or not, this is me with long hair. When Irresistible Me first contacted me about trying their hair extensions, I decided to pass, because I like my pixie cut just fine, thank you very much. However, when they contacted me again, I had a change of heart, thinking it might be fun to have long hair every once in awhile without the commitment.
I’ve had these extensions for a few weeks, but first had to let my hair grow out just a bit so they would have something to hold onto. I also had my stylist color my hair to match the extensions, because the color I selected was a bit blonder than I anticipated (Not the website’s fault, more my asking my husband’s opinion). I also had my stylist cut some longer layers into the extensions, so my shorter hair would blend in a bit easier. She also helped me out with how to put them in the first time around (Irresistible Me also offers a great tutorial on their site). I probably should have taken photos that day because she is much better at curling long hair than I am (I need some practice…).
I have worn these extensions a few times just for fun and have been surprised at how easy they are to put in by myself. I will say that with my hair being so short, it is a bit more difficult for me to blend in the top layers with my real hair. I have found they work well with a cute beanie, or hat when I have been in a hurry and didn’t want to worry about blending. I have also found that pulling back the sides and bumping up the crown a bit is also a good solution. I can completely see how easy they would be use with longer hair.
These extensions are The Royal Remy in a 200g weight, which includes 10 clip in pieces in all. I figured since I wasn’t starting with much, I would need all the help I could get. I was surprised at how full and thick each piece is, and have only used all 10 pieces a couple of times. The extensions are 100% human hair that has been minimally processed, and even my stylist was impressed by the overall quality. Another plus – this hair curls amazingly well.

I do not plan on giving up my short hair anytime soon, but I am glad I branched out and gave something different a try. Knowing me, whenever I wear these extensions will be the only time I will have anything close to Real Housewives hair, but I do have to admit, it Is fun to have the option!
So what do you think? Are extensions something you might ever try?
Disclosure: I was provided these extensions by Irresistible Me to review. Just sharing my personal experience with their product.
