So sorry about having nothing to say in my last post – I was just drained and did not have the energy or brain power to give! Now I feel bad about not giving it more attention because I really loved that cute look and wore it to go shopping this weekend. Anyway, that’s where I was at that moment and promise to do better today.
Anywho, I have actually been spending time getting this whole blogging thing more organized this year. For a couple of months, my drive just was not there and I even contemplated just stopping the blog completely. After some short breaks and taking care of life as I needed to, I think I found my second wind. I am feeling inspired again and thinking of new features I plan to share here. I spent one weekend planning out all kinds of outfits for the coming weeks so I am not struggling in the mornings deciding what to wear. Thank you, Evernote, for keeping me on track! I am also in the process of switching to WordPress. I am currently working out the new blog design and not rushing myself because I want this to be enjoyable instead of feeling pressured. The more I remind myself this blog is a hobby and I can be relaxed about it, the more enjoyment I find from it.
So, as I have been planning looks ahead of time, today’s look was one I was excited to wear and couldn’t wait until a day came around where it wasn’t completely freezing for my bare legs. I may have pushed it a bit, but I felt fabulous wearing this look. Happiness warms you from the inside out, right? Just like cute shoes can make you forget they aren’t always the most comfortable. I believe this cardigan is the only mustard piece in my wardrobe and I really liked how it added some sunshine to this otherwise neutral look. Also, I do iron my clothes, but once you sit in a pencil skirt it seems inevitable there will be wrinkles. On this particular day I was running late to the office and had to take photos at lunch instead of my usual early morning choice.
Wearing: Tee – NY&Co. // Cardigan – a.n.a., JCPenney // Skirt – Worthington, JCPenney // Shoes – Rampage, Belk // Scarf – Burlington // Bracelets – Loft & Susie Raine “Zen” cuff
Welcome to Fabulous Friday! Each week I plan to showcase at least two of my favorite looks, add them to a Fabulous Friday Pinterest board, and share the love on Instagram and Twitter. Feel free to link up any of your recent blog posts, whether it be fashion, food, fitness, or DIY. Please follow this blog in at least one way, link back to this post, share a specific blog link, and visit other blogs!
Last week’s most clicked link was Farm Girl Miriam – so super cute!!! I loved her thoughts on swing dresses and post title – Style: A Dress that Shows off Your Undies and Extroverted Boots.
Here are a few of my favorite posts…
Andrea of Living on Cloud Nine showed how she styled her beautiful blue boho dress for winter. Loving these fab boots!
How gorgeous is this graphic print poncho? The chocolate faux leather leggings compliment it perfectly. You can check out more from Jess at Elegantly Dressed and Stylish.
Finally, I really enjoyed reading this post from Legal Lee Blonde. It was really apropos because I was just setting up my own little stash of must-haves for the office last week and tweaked my list after reading this.
Now it’s time to party!
