I will admit during the holiday season, from Thanksgiving through New Year’s, I was pretty lax about sticking to a strict Paleo diet and enjoyed my fair share of holiday treats. So last week I officially began my second Whole 30 to get myself back on track with a clean start. I am happy to report since I did maintain a loose Paleo diet, I didn’t go through a dreadful detox stage this time around, which was really encouraging. I’ve been enjoying getting back into the groove of cooking all my meals and eating one hundred percent clean again. I’ve been cooking up lots of recipes from my Pinterest board and finding new favorites my whole family has deemed delicious and asked go into regular rotation. Chicken Zoodle Soup and Chicken & Smoked Sausage Gumbo were both a huge hit and perfect for the wintery weather.
Speaking of wintery weather, it’s been essential to layer up this week. I decided I wanted to incorporate this popular plaid blanket scarf in an office appropriate way. Pretty much all of the looks I’ve seen with this scarf involve jeans, leggings, or a casual dress. I styled it with a cardigan, neutral trousers and leopard pumps to dress it up a bit. Now that I am seeing these photos, I probably should have gone with leopard flats, as the length of these particular trousers seems a tad short for the pumps (even though I went with a lower heeled leopard pump than I usually choose). Overall, I like how the look came together – the colors work well and I enjoy the pattern mix.

In addition to getting my eating back on track, I am also walking every day at lunch. I find it so much easier to get moving in the middle of my day versus early in the morning, or later in the evening. It seems once I arrive home other things take priority, and I am Not a morning person.
