Pink and Red Look with The Fab 40’s
[dropcaps]I[/dropcaps] am truly excited to be an official group member of The Fab 40’s – Woo Hoo! I have always enjoyed these style posts from this group of women since the group’s inception. A few of the original group have graduated, and new fabulous 40 something bloggers have filled their spots. I will introduce you to each of them later in the post. For those of you who are not familiar with the group, it is an international mix of bloggers in their forties who give their individual spin on the month’s style theme. I love seeing the different interpretations and find it very inspiring.
This month’s challenge was to style a pink and red look, which is a color combination I really like. When I was growing up I always thought they looked pretty together, but my mother would never let me wear them because it was against the fashion “rules”. Thank goodness those days are gone!
After considering a couple of different options, I ultimately decided to go with a look that is very true to my style and I would wear in a heartbeat. While I do have a lot of red in my wardrobe, there isn’t very much pink to speak of at all, and the little I do have is pretty much all this bright, hot pink shade. I love how the bold shades look against one another and enjoy the color blocking they provided for this look.
