[dropcaps]H[/dropcaps]appy Monday! I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend. Things were good and busy here, which made the time fly by much too quickly. Funny how that always works on the weekend, and not so much during the week. I took advantage of some great summer sales at Banana Republic (which you will be seeing in the upcoming weeks), did some organizing, and finally started watching the final season of Downton Abbey. I wanted to go watch Finding Dory, but didn’t make it this weekend. It will happen soon, I am sure.
A few weeks ago I was inspired by a couple of different avenues – Fashion Fairy Dust and The Blended Blog – to try wearing my Chuck’s with a blazer and dress pants for a twist. I was positively delighted with this idea and honestly couldn’t believe I hadn’t already tried it myself. I adore Debbie’s look , and have almost identical pieces, but chose not to do an exact copy. Instead I went with a slimmer silhouette pant and a stripe tee, as I wore this for a casual Friday. I’m really enjoying how these style basics work so well together. If you didn’t want to wear a blazer you could just as easily swap it out for a denim jacket, vest, any color cardigan, or even an open button up shirt.
Yea, it was Another windy day…
What I’m Wearing:
[li]Blazer – Marshall’s (Similar, Similar)[/li]
[li]Tee – Old Navy[/li]
[li]Pants – Gap “Slim City” (Similar, Similar)[/li]
[li]Shoes – Converse All Stars[/li]
[li]Necklace – Charming Charlie[/li]
Have you ever tried Chuck’s with a blazer and dress pants? Is this something you can see yourself trying in the future?
