Happy Friday! I will be keeping this short and sweet because I am running a bit behind schedule and because I am taking a little time off due to the holiday.
I have been hesitant to try the off the shoulder trend because most of the tops I’ve seen involve large ruffled necklines. I am not really sure that would be the most flattering on me, and particularly with my larger chest. I just feel that style would add bulk and emphasis on an area that doesn’t really need it. When I saw this simpler, more streamlined style from Express I thought it would be a perfect way for me to dip my toes into the trend. I decided to keep the entire look basic with classic white pants and pointy toe flats, for more of a French feel. I skipped the necklace and added dramatic earrings instead. Finally I added this cute leopard bag, because I love leopard and stripes together.
What I’m Wearing:
[li]Top – Express[/li]
[li]Pants – Banana Republic “Sloan”[/li]
[li]Bag – Charming Charlie[/li]
[li]Shoes – New Direction[/li]
[li]Earrings – Charming Charlie[/li]
Have you tried the off the shoulder trend yet? If so, how do you like it?
Welcome to Fabulous Friday! Each week I plan to showcase at least two of my favorite looks, add them to my Fabulous Friday Pinterest board, and share the love on Instagram and Twitter. Feel free to link up any of your recent blog posts, whether it be fashion, food, fitness or DIY. Please follow this blog in at least one way, link back to this post, share a specific blog link (not just your blog site), and visit other Fabulous blogs!
This week two posts tied for most clicked links. First up we have Irene of The Daily Lace. Her look just says summer and that striped clutch looks beautiful against the bright yellow of her dress.
The second most clicked link goes to Fonda of Savvy Southern Chic. I love her professional style and take on neutrals.
My favorite post is from Candace of The Beauty Beau. The striped crop top looks amazing with her cobalt skirt and black strappy wedges.
