After last week’s Fabulous Friday post, it should come to no surprise to you I made an appointment with my stylist to change some things up a bit with my hair. I finally decided to move forward with an inverted bob with some light layering. I feel like it gave me some style again without losing too much length overall – well except in the back. I am still going to continue to grow it out, but at least it has some definition I felt I have been lacking over the past month or so. Of course the day I took these photos the humidity and wind were having a field day, so I’m afraid my debut of the cut isn’t exactly doing it justice.
I have been making an effort in recent months to add more patterned pencil skirts to my wardrobe. This striped skirt immediately caught my eye with its bold colors that are perfect for year round wear. It’s been in my closet for at least a couple of months now and I finally decided to pull it out to wear. In my head I envisioned wearing it with a blazer the first time, but it has been just too darn hot. I put that notion aside and decided to pair it with a Portofino shirt instead. I have really started liking these shirts and how they are a more relaxed and lighter version of a button up.
I included this shot so you can see the back of my new haircut. Yes, it is still short, but not nearly as short as my pixie was!
What I’m Wearing:
- Shirt – Portofino, Express
- Skirt – – NY&Co.
- Shoes – XAppeal, Rack Room Shoes
- Bag – Nicole by Nicole Miller, JCPenney
- Necklace – c/o Swell Caroline
- Bracelet – Charming Charlie

Laurie of Vanity and Me had the most clicked link last week. Her embellished sweater is quite striking!
Erin’s post featuring this lace dress styled then and now was one of my favorites. So loving this striped blazer! You can see more of Erin’s style at Teal and Polka Dots.
How cute is this maxi romper from Between the Pearls?! Such a fun and unique look.
