So sorry to have missed last week’s Fabulous Friday. That was definitely not on the agenda and after a complete comedy of errors, I finally threw my hands up and said this is evidently not meant to be. A couple of weeks ago I had to have my laptop swiped, which, if any of you have ever been through that process you know it’s a pain getting everything back as you had before. Needless to say I lost some log-in info and passwords I could not for the life of me remember. Helpful tip – if and when you ever change your e-mail, make sure you update that information for all accounts you may have out there so when you do forget your password you can reset it… ☹ Once I finally cleared up that issue the weather decided to interfere with progress in the form of a tremendous storm. I am a huge fan of stormy weather – I say bring on the thunder, lightning, and torrential downpours.
Just leave me my internet.
So I am sitting there with no internet at home thinking, “No problem – the post is pretty much done. It just needs a couple of tweaks and I can submit it in the morning. Later than usual, but at least it will be live.” Morning – still no internet at home. I leave for the office early so I can simply log-in and click Publish. Ha – our server was down all morning. At this point I just took a deep breath and let it go.
We have actually had rain every single day this past week at some point in the day, which has been a welcome relief to the heat. Wearing this bit of sunshine last weekend was enjoyable and seemed an appropriate bright spot in the day. You wouldn’t know it to see these photos, but a couple of hours later we were back to monsoon season. Anyway, I love the pretty shade of this yellow dress, the split flutter sleeves, and the fact it is fully lined. I can see wearing this on vacation, dinners out, with flat sandals for a more casual feel, and even to a summer wedding. I may even try this with a blazer and pumps for the office.
I know a lot of women are hesitant to wear yellow, but I think it is all a matter of finding a shade that works for you. Personally, I find it such a perfect color for summer. What are your thoughts on yellow?
Welcome to Fabulous Friday! Each week I plan to showcase at least two of my favorite looks, add them to my Fabulous Friday Pinterest board, and share the love on Instagram and Twitter. Feel free to link up any of your recent blog posts, whether it be fashion, food, fitness or DIY. Please follow this blog in at least one way, link back to this post, share a specific blog link (not just your blog site), and visit other Fabulous blogs!
Last week’s most clicked link was from Andrea of Living on Cloud Nine. Great look for summer and funny post to boot!
Positively loved this post from Rosemary of Babies & Bluejeans on how to style a grey dress three different ways! Check out her post if you haven’t already for more inspiration.
Another favorite came from Chioma of C’s Evolution of Style. The yellow and white look are complimented by the leopard and gold perfectly! I actually had this look selected last week before I knew I would be wearing a similar color combination, so that’s just a happy coincidence.
