I had my Dr’s appointment today and got the go ahead to remove the brace and only wear as needed. Woo Hoo! I am still on restriction on what I can do for the next couple of weeks, but I can live with that. Not being able to use my right hand fully this past week has been a huge adjustment. Learning to use my left hand more has certainly had it’s entertaining and frustrating moments.
Lately I have been adding more and more boho pieces to my wardrobe. I have particularly been keeping my eyes open for dresses with a boho flair, because I love how they look with booties. I am seriously in love with dresses and booties this fall. So when I saw this pretty floral dress from Makemechic, it went straight into my cart. One of the things I love most about this dress is it has a swing dress vibe, but with some slight gathering in the front to cinch in and give your waistline a smidge of definition. I also really like the subtle bits of rust and burgundy in the print which just say fall to me. I will admit, while I knew it had a bit of a hi-low hemline, the front was a little shorter than I expected. However, this is something that can easily be remedied with a lace extender underneath, wearing tights when it is cooler, or even jeans or leggings. I can already envision wearing this later with a denim jacket or vest and tall boots.
Now let’s talk about these booties. Oh, my goodness! In the week I have had these grey Beatriz beauties from Marmi Shoes I have worn them no less than three times. First of all, they are Super comfortable. I feel like I could wear these out all day shopping or sightseeing without regret. The beautiful grey is such a fabulous neutral and goes with literally everything (they are also available in black). I really like the lower cut of these booties because they don’t cut off the length of my leg – kind of important when your legs could use all the lengthening they can get! The lower heels are a plus, as well. Finally, I really like the working inner and outer zippers. Not only do they add a wonderful stylish element, but the additional functionality is truly appreciated. Over the past couple of years I have become bootie obsessed (seriously, it is ridiculous) and these have quickly become a favorite. Marmi Shoes offers a wide variety of booties to choose from, as well as heels, flats, and boots.
