It’s the first Tuesday of the month so that means it is time for another Ageless Style Link-up. This month’s theme is how to transition summer pieces for fall. My take on the theme might be a bit of a different interpretation than the rest of the group, but it is one that is realistic for me. While my Instagram feed is full of “It’s fall, y’all!”, my reality is “Bummer, it’s Still summer…”. Maybe I need to coin that one.
Anyway, here in South Carolina we are still experiencing temps in the nineties on the daily and I do not foresee that changing anytime in the near future. So while I may be longing to pull out my boots and scarves, I prefer not to chance heat stroke (or some major side eye). My solution for a fall-esque take on my summer pieces is to incorporate fall colors and patterns. Even though I do wear leopard print year round, it does have more of a cool weather vibe in my opinion. This cardigan is made of really thin, lightweight fabric and works wonderfully as a completer piece with my cami and shorts without being too warm. I added cognac peep toe booties and my studded clutch to stick with my neutral color scheme. Overall this does give a nod to autumn without being overbearing.
