Happy hump day y’all! I have worked late the past two days so I am thrilled for a night at home this evening. I am sure I will spend it catching up on everything I didn’t accomplish the past two days, but I can live with that.
One of the things I love most about fall is the fact I can start layering again (and I can start wearing my boots and booties again). I love how how adding a jacket, cardigan, or poncho gives the most basic items a lift in style. Top that off with a colorful scarf and really up the ante. I used to never wear scarves. Never. Over the past three years that has changed dramatically and I now enjoy adding all kinds of patterns and colors to my collection. They truly are a wonderful way to transform a look with very little effort. I also enjoy all the different ways you can tie them for even more versatility.

This open poncho is actually burgundy. These photos were taken early morning in slight shade and have a cooler tone making it look more purplish. Anyway, I love this piece for fall and have worn it a couple times on the blog. You can check out those looks (and go on a hairstyle journey!) here and here.
