I decided to do something different this weekend and try to give flat lays a go. I always enjoy seeing flat lays on other blogs and Instagram and the impartial perspective they offer. Plus, there are so many times I immediately think of different ways I want to style a piece and share here, but if I wait until I have time to wear them, it will be forever. Flat lays are the perfect solution.
In this post I am styling this beautiful burgundy bell sleeve top from Shein in three different ways. Burgundy is always a favorite cokor of mine for fall, so this top naturally called out to me. The bell sleeves and peplum are so on trend this season and I love the beautiful lace detail.
Top – c/o Shein – Tribal Print Option| Shorts – c/o Royalty for Me| Necklace – Charming Charlie| Booties – SODA, Amazon
Since we still have plenty of warm weather here, this first look incorporates denim shorts. I love wearing shorts and booties during this transition season, and what better ones to pair with this than my leopard booties? I feel leopard is a neutral and goes with everything, but have to admit burgundy is one of my favorite colors to pair it with. I finished the look off with a long teal pendent necklace.
Top – c/o Shein – Pink Eyelet Option| Skirt – Max Studio| Necklace – Charming Charlie| Booties – Sugar “Tula”
Next look involves a cream, flowy, lace skirt, rose, druzy pendent necklace, and brown booties. I can see myself wearing this going shopping or for a fun girl’s night out.
Top – c/o Shein – Olive Option| Jeans – Rag & Bone| Scarf – Ross| Bracelet – c/o Rose gal| Booties – Jessica Simpson “Agnes”
Finally, bell sleeves and flare jeans are a perfect match. A neutral fall scarf and burgundy booties elevate this look a bit, while still keeping it casual. Perfect look for fun fall activities.
Hopefully I will become a bit better at these with practice, but I think this was a decent start in this new (to me) territory. Let me know how you feel about flat lays. They certainly will not be replacing regular outfit posts, but I think they will offer a nice bit of diversity around here.
Just a reminder – this Tuesday it is time for this month’s Ageless Style Link-Up. I am really excited because this was my month to select our theme. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
