In order to start optimizing my time more efficiently a couple of weeks ago I started doing the unthinkable and have been waking up at 6 am every weekday morning to be in the gym by 6:15. Thankfully my gym is really close. I am Not a morning person. I am especially not a morning workout person. After truly evaluating my time, I realized I needed to become a morning person in order to accommodate my ever growing personal life plan, and ignoring my health isn’t really an option for that plan. I have been faithful and have actually come to enjoy this time.
[li]It isn’t crowded early in the morning.[/li]
[li]I listen to inspirational messages from a church in Dallas, TX a friend introduced me to, which helps me start the day on a positive and more focused note.[/li]
[li]I feel more energized and motivated throughout the day.[/li]
[li]I have time to take blog photos before I go to work without being rushed.[/li]
[li]I sleep so much better.[/li]
I would have Never dreamed I would be doing this in a million years. Not saying I am just bouncing out of bed excited about it, but I always feel so much better afterwards and am glad I have expanded my horizons. By the way, I had my follow up Dr.’s appointment today and have a full medical release. So excited to be able to start lifting at the gym again!
Now onto the fashion…
One of my very favorite ways to transition to fall is layering a denim jacket over a dress and add in some booties or boots. This particular dress is a sleeveless summer dress, but the colors work wonderfully for fall. I always like seeing how I can layer my summer wardrobe and make it cool weather appropriate. I know this dress will work well with a cardigan, blazer, or moto jacket. I can also see it with a long sleeve shirt or tee layered underneath, or even a sweater over the top and wearing the dress as a skirt. I know it will work well with tights or leggings and long boots or booties when the temps become colder.
Dress – Banana Republic
Booties – Nine West
Jacket – NY&Co.
Necklace – Charming Charlie
Welcome to Fabulous Friday! Each week I plan to showcase at least two of my favorite looks, add them to my Fabulous Friday Pinterest board, and share the love on Instagram and Twitter. Feel free to link up any of your recent blog posts, whether it be fashion, food, fitness or DIY. Please follow this blog in at least one way, link back to this post, share a specific blog link (not just your blog site), and visit other Fabulous blogs!
Last week’s most clicked link goes to Susan of Over 50 Under 20. This was a great post showing the evolution of a look until it is just right.
Ana of Mrs. American Made is just too cute in her burgundy field jacket and beanie. Such a great way to top off her black and white look.
Posh Classy Mom, Sheree, styles a dress with masculine tones with a bit of feminine flair. I really like the layers and necktie ribbon.
