I had every intention of sharing the second part of my two part series How to Style a Tunic & Leggings 6 Ways today, but life happened. Six more looks had been created, photos were taken, edits were on the cusp of being completed… And real life interrupted. I keep saying one day I will be one of those bloggers who has posts planned at least a week ahead. That has Not happened yet. Meanwhile, I am happy to say I have at least stepped up enough to have one or two things in draft to pull me out of those situations. So what was meant for a Sunday Share is now a on the fly Whatever Wednesday.
Red Hair Don’t Care – Speaking of whatever, because that is apparently the theme today, it seems a bit odd to look back at my first photo taken just 2-3 months ago and see the difference in my hair color. I didn’t realize it was such a dark red. These days it is as red as red can be, with a slightly pink cast (looks like it is time to update the Sunday Shares photo). As 50 is growing ever closer, I suppose I am also growing closer to the point of really not caring as much what other people think and taking chances on things that make me happy. You will not believe how often I am stopped by complete strangers within a week telling me how much they love my hair. I do owe appreciation to my aunt for giving me some personal color advice and I am glad I decided to go so bold. Thanks, Aunt Cheryl, and love you! ♥
Snapchat – I have finally created a Snapchat account. I haven’t actually snapped anything yet, but plan to soon. I feel like I am still in learning mode and prefer to get some knowledge under my belt before I accidentally embarrass myself. I feel like I have already done that just by trying to capture my profile pic. There should be a warning label involved. It was Not pretty. My user name is Polka Dot Jennie, so I hope you will follow along. I promise to follow back! I would also be interested in knowing which Snapchat accounts you follow along with so I can add more to my list.
Fun Blog – I just recently discovered a new blog that has positively nothing to do with fashion and everything to do with making me laugh! If you enjoy a bit of snark and sarcasm then I suggest you check out WebMDiva.
(My Photo – and yes, it was Delicious!)
Chicken Soup for the Soul (and body) – Several months ago I cooked, and fell in love with, this amazing Chicken Zoodle Soup. Oh, my goodness, talk about Mmm, mmm, good! Campbell’s has nothing on this healthy and tasty option. The zoodles are so much better for you and offer a much better flavor than traditional noodles. My spiralizer is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets and is used on a regular basis. Also, all the guys in my life love this soup as much as I do.
Halloweenie – Y’all, I Love dressing up for Halloween. If you have followed the blog over the past couple of years you know this. If not, you can check out my last two costumes here and here. I am bouncing back and forth between a few ideas. The front runners at the moment are Edward Scissorhands, Queen of Hearts, and Medusa. I will keep it a surprise until I post my costume for this year, because honestly, I am undecided. A black horse could always inspire me at the last minute and we will All be surprised with the final result. Meanwhile, if you are still looking for ideas, check out my I Am the Pumpkin King! board on Pinterest.
So there you have it – a little extra glimpse into my life. I hope you enjoyed and I would certainly love to hear from you about other things you would like to know about me, fashion questions, or just general thoughts. As always, thank you so much for following along and reading.
