It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here. I am in full on event planning mode here, which is always so much fun and one aspect of my job I truly enjoy. I like planning out the meals with the caterers, choosing the decor, and selecting games to make our events fun and memorable for the staff. This year we are also having a cookie exchange and I am already poring through my recipes to pick just the right one to share. In addition to all of this, our temps are supposed to drop to below freezing the next few days, so we are finally going to have a winter chill in the air. Not that I am a fan of freezing weather, but it will be nice to throw some logs in the fireplace and just snuggle in.
I picked up this burgundy vegan leather jacket a few months ago and have been wearing it off and on since. It is lightweight and has been perfect for the mild temps we have been having of late. I really like the color, style, and details it offers. I wore this look to the office earlier in the week and really enjoyed the edginess the jacket and my burgundy booties gave my simple black sheath dress. This time of year I often skip a necklace and just go with a scarf. This particular leopard scarf is a favorite of mine and I wear it quite often.

Y’all know I love a good sheath dress, so this patterned dress worn by Bogi of Red Reticule certainly caught my eye in last week’s lineup.
The jewel tone tunic and velvet leggings are such a cute date day look from Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom.
