Y’all. I have been slammed this past couple of weeks. That’s the thing about holidays and taking time off – when you get back to reality there is just so much to catch up on. The blog has taken a back seat over the past several weeks for sure. All my social media has been pretty neglected, as well. I am not sure how much of it has to do with my busy schedule and how much has to do with not feeling very inspired or motivated. Upon further reflection, I have been so busy I haven’t had the extra time to plan out my outfits like I prefer, so I am mad dashing it every morning. It’s difficult to feel inspired and out the door in less than 10 minutes. I just downloaded the Stylebook app and I am hoping it will help me get my mojo back and help me plan ahead more efficiently. I freely admit I have Way too many clothes in my dressing room and am hoping being able to view everything at a glance will be helpful. Now just to find time to take photos of my entire wardrobe…
When I selected this dress from Zaful I was drawn to its abstract print and pretty colors against the black background. And while I still love these aspects, there is no way this is long enough for me to consider wearing it as a dress, so for me this will forever be styled as a tunic. Out came my fleece lined leggings and a pair of over the knee boots to save the day. Also, since I knew this was a loose style dress I didn’t pay enough attention to the bust measurements, resulting in a bit of pulling in that area. Since this has an asymmetrical drape across the front and the top of it is cinched together with a small stitch I will most likely remove the stitch for a better fit.
Necklace – Charming Charlie (might have been nice if I had straightened it out first!)
Do any of you use Stylebook? If so, do you have any great tips or stories to share?

My favorite look from last week comes from Joi of In My Joi. This choice is probably no surprise to anyone who has followed my blog for awhile. This is a look after my own heart and I promise it is not just that adorable polka dot skirt, but Everything Joi incorporated!
