I am all dressed up today! There are a couple of different reasons for the fancy attire. First and foremost, my fellow blogger friend, Ada, of Elegance and Mommyhood, asked me to be a part of helping celebrate her Thursday Moda linkup turning one. She asked for those of who are helping her celebrate this special day for her blog to dress up. As someone who Loves any opportunity to pull out my special occasion wear, I decided to pull out all the stops and embrace the invitation wholeheartedly. ♥
The second reason is for a little personal celebration of my own. I am being featured in an article on You Look Fab today! I was completely taken by surprise a few weeks ago when one of their editors contacted me and asked if she could feature me in a style series. I am quite excited and it was fun to read first thing this morning. I hope you will pop over and check out what Inge had to share in her article Playful Classics and Rainbow Hair.
This beautiful, deep red satin dress has been rarely worn, and I like the simple styling that will never go out of style. Since it is sleeveless I added a sparkly silver wrap for a little extra coverage and warmth. I mean, it is February. I almost went with a black wrap and shoes, but I really like how the bits of silver and sparkle brighten up the deep red. Did you notice this dress has pockets? Always a plus for dresses and skirts, in my opinion, and even more so when it is included in a more formal piece. Finally I added my pretty sequined clutch for a bit of extra color.
