Welcome to 9 to 5 Style! The third Monday of every month Fonda of Savvy Southern Chic and I will showcase a theme featuring our individual takes on a professional look. Our aim is to inspire and show professional style does not have to mean boring and without personality. We hope you enjoy our 9 to 5 Style!
I am truly excited to present a new monthly collaboration here on the blog! Fonda and I are both Georgia girls (even though I am currently in SC, I will always be a Georgia girl!) who work in professional environments, so it seemed natural for us to join together and showcase our own 9 to 5 style. While I believe I have a bit more leeway in my office attire than Fonda, I still enjoy wearing professional looks regularly. We do hope to show you can still let your personality shine through and not have to look boring and basic in work wear.
For our inaugural post, Fonda selected styling a tan blazer, particularly as spring is just around the corner and this lighter neutral is a perfect transition piece. I couldn’t help myself and pulled out some bright colors with my bold tangerine ankle pants and printed top – a perfect nod to spring, as well as a way to warm up the neutral jacket. Please stop by Savvy Southern Chic and see how Fonda styled her tan blazer, too. ♥
Blazer – Dress Barn

Y’all, I have to admit I struggled with getting photos of this look. I wore it to the office last week and went to take photos at a local park during lunch. It was positively Freezing outside, but I felt like I had captured some really great photos. When I couldn’t take it anymore I ran over to my tripod and was going to grab a quick review before I packed up only to see No Card in Camera pop up on screen. I threw my hands in the air and gave up because I was a popsicle. I tried it again this weekend and the wind was bound and determined to ruin this shoot, too. Thankfully, I was able to salvage something for today. Next time around will be much better, I hope!
