The Ageless Style Link-Up – The first Tuesday of every month nine over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond.
This month Ana asked us to style a look featuring an item, or items, we picked up from a thrift store, consignment shop, or possible even passed along to us from someone else. Our theme is all about second chances and giving a disregarded piece of clothing a new lease on life.
I picked up this tweed jacket last year from a local Goodwill. I have to admit I am not really into thrift shopping for clothing like some others are, and primarily run into second hand stores for furniture pieces to refinish. However, I do think it is fun to find unique pieces that fit my style and budget. You may recognize these flare jeans, as they are a favorite of mine and have been worn quite a few times here on the blog. They were passed on to my several years ago by a friend who had them in her donation bin and asked me if I wanted to give them a try before she dropped them off. They were love at first sight and I am so glad I chose to hang on to them until they came back into style.
