Disclosure: I was provided the item featured in this post. Just sharing my own personal thoughts and opinions with complete honesty.
Have you ever heard of light therapy facials? I have read about them in my style magazines, but as the salon or dermatologist sessions were on the pricier side, I figured I would be skipping this option. So as you may imagine, I was quite excited when I was asked to give the Truly Clear2 Ultrasonic Light Therapy System a try.
So what is light therapy (also known as LED therapy)? Its premise is specific colors of light trigger different reactions beneath the skin and also penetrate at various depths. Blue lights are for minimizing acne and diminishing the growth of bacteria. Green light therapy is for cooling, soothing, and improving hyper pigmentation ( goodbye age spots!). I am personally most interested in Red Light therapy, as it sounds exactly what the Dr. ordered for my aging skin. Benefits include:
- Stimulates collagen
- Increases ATP (cell fuels)
- Stimulates cell turnover
- Minimizes mild scarring
- Minimizes pore size
- Reduces inflamation
- Smoother and improved surface
- Increases circulation and moisture retention
This skin renewal system offers five different functions – Skin Rejuvenation for Anti-Aging/Anti-Acne/Anti-Pigmentation (as mentioned above), Skin Cleansing and Skin nourishing. I have just started to use the system this week and will share more about the actual process when I have more than one session under my belt for a more comprehensive overview. As I share more about the experience I will also include more details about the products received.
So here is my Before photo. Pretty glamorous, right? I plan to show a brief update after using it for a week, and then another follow up after a month. I am pretty excited about the whole process and am looking forward to seeing how it goes. I hope you will check back in with me for the results. Have you tried LED facial therapy? If not, is it something you might be interested in trying?
