Floral Dress for Spring
Disclosure: The dress in this post was provided to me. All thoughts on it are completely my own.
I took advantage of the one dry day we had this week and got in a quick photo session. Unfortunately these photos aren’t that great, because in my rush I forgot to readjust my camera settings after doing a product shoot earlier in the week. Since I was on my lunch break I just banged it out without reviewing the photos and discovered that evening I had some focus problems. At least I was able to salvage something to share today. You ever notice when you are in a hurry and think I don’t have time to stop and do xyz, then you really wind up wasting way more time in the long run than the minute it would have taken for extra measures? Maybe that’s just me.
As soon as I saw this floral dress I fell in Love. ♥ ♥ ♥
The colors and slightly retro floral print had me swooning. I also love the feminine silhouette, full skirt, and its slightly longer length. I decided to keep my accessories simple with a couple of pearl bracelets and cluster pearl drop earrings. I decided to skip a necklace with this boat neckline and let the floral take center stage. I almost went with nude shoe, but decided to go with these black and clear pumps as I haven’t worn them in forever. I like how the black echoed the bits of black in the dress making more of a statement. I always think of these as my Cinderella shoes as they are the closest I have to a glass slipper.
I am typically not a floral gal, but I have to admit this year I have embraced this pattern like never before. Ha – as I am writing this post, I can see four of my most popular posts of late incorporate some kind of flower. I am not sure if my tastes have changed, or because floral is such a big trend right now and the sheer variety of styles available offers something for everyone.
What’s your take on floral in fashion?

Co-Host – Lana of My New Happy
My favorite post from last week came from Audrey of Five Foot Nothing Shopping. I adore this color combination and I am an absolute sucker for sheath dresses. Her scarf tied as a belt is truly inspiring me. Make sure you stop by Lana’s blog to see who she is featuring this week!
