Yay for long weekends! I believe the majority of us in the US have Good Friday off work and family plans for this Easter weekend. I am grateful for another day to keep pecking away at always present list. As I shared earlier this week, I have been in yard work mode and while it is definitely tiring, it is also something I enjoy. After I fertilize and re-seed my lawn, the next thing on my list is to paint my front door a bright, color. I have been toying with this thought for awhile and after seeing Mary of Real Girl’s Realm share her cheery front door on Instagram this week (see blog post here) it was promptly back to the forefront of my thoughts. I am leaning towards a bold shade of green. Big surprise, right? ♥
Jodie, Charlotte, Nancy and I are back with the final installment of our simple pattern mixing series. This time around we are each styling a printed handbag accompanying a print within our clothing. I enjoyed seeing the various styles and prints of each of their handbags, as I have to tell you, the only printed bags I have are a small leopard purse and this striped tote, which seem kind of plain in comparison. I Love Charlotte’s bold bag with its brown and blue shades; it would definitely make whatever you are wearing a statement look! Make sure you go to Jodie’s Touch of Style to check out how they styled this final post in the series even closer. Plus Jodie always has a wonderful way of explaining her process of styling a look. You could learn a thing or two!
I wore this cute floral dress a couple of weekend’s ago and since it is a sleeveless item my denim jacket was my completer piece of choice. The wind and temps were still on the cool side for totally bare arms. I know espadrille sandals are still a huge trend this year, so I pulled out my natural pair for their first spin of the season. Floral and stripes are always a favorite combination of mine, and I like this large tote, which works so well for warmer weather. This is one of those easy looks I will be wearing all spring and summer long!
Dress – Old Navy (Only $15! and wide variety of prints)
Jodie, thank you so much for inviting me to join you this week for such a fun collaboration! I enjoyed styling each post’s theme and truly hope all of you who visit my little blog enjoyed it, too.

Co-Host – Audrey of Five Foot Nothing Shopping
I’m Audrey Conceicao. My passion is fashion, petite fashion to be exact! I am an IT professional by day and a petite fashion blogger and shopaholic by night (and all the time really!). I have lived in four countries and three continents but I split home between Chicago and Goa.
Shopping de-stresses me and I love the thrill of finding a good deal. Being the very opinionated person I am, I’ve always felt the need to comment on the fashion around me. My friend suggested I start a style blog, I thought about it and decided why not! My style simply put is ‘classic meets color’. I love my pops of color with an Audrey Hepburn flair to my style.
Pulling together a look is easy, making it work for petite fashion lovers is a whole new ball game! So being the petite girl that I am I started this blog to share my style tips and tricks with the world! This petite fashion blog is dedicated to all the 5ft nothings out there! This petite fashionista is here for you. ♥
My favorite post from last week is from Nicole of High Latitude Style. I love the bold colors and the fun print mix. Can you make out her nude fishnets? Fabulous! Make sure you pop on over to Audrey’s blog to see who she is featuring this week.
