Disclosure: The Pearly Whites strips in this post were provided to me. I am sharing my honest experience with them.
I am always open to trying products that offer a way to improve my well being or appearance. When Pearly Whites reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to give their Charcoal and Coconut Whitening Strips a try, I readily agreed. Charcoal and coconut, huh? This may sound like an odd mix initially, but when you consider the filtering properties of activated charcoal and that coconut oil is supposed to reduce plaque and bacteria in your mouth, it makes more sense. I have tried oil pulling with coconut oil for a brighter smile in the past, but never could stick with it more than a couple of days. I have also heard of people brushing their teeth with activated charcoal and I don’t think I will be trying that method any time soon. A whitening strip that harnesses the power of both in a more mainstream way? Yes, that’s a method I can get behind.
These whitening strips were very easy to use – just peel, apply to teeth, wait 30 -45 minutes, and rinse. I would usually apply mine in the morning after I brushed my teeth and as I was getting ready for my day. I love the fact these strips use all natural ingredients and didn’t have an overwhelming taste of any kind. Also, I have used drugstore whitening strips in the past and experienced a lot of teeth sensitivity afterwards. These strips were quite gentle and I did not experience any sensitivity at all after using them for two weeks. The box includes 10 strips and is a good value priced item. Pearly Whites also offers Whitening Pens and more comprehensive Professional Teeth Whitening Systems.
Super cute, huh?
I forgot to take a before photo of my teeth when I was taking product photos in the beginning of this process, so I pulled a photo taken several weeks ago for another blog post featuring a good shot of my smile for a comparison. Overall, I am quite pleased with the results and can certainly see myself using these more in the future.
