Disclosure: The shoes in this post were provided to me. All thoughts about them are completely my own.
Are you guilty of phubbing without even being aware of it? Do you know what phubbing even is? The Urban Dictionary states the following: “Phubbing: snubbing someone in favor of your mobile phone. We’ve all done it: when a conversation gets boring, the urge to check out an interesting person’s twitter/ Facebook/ Youtube/ Pinterest/whatever feed can be overwhelming.” Hmmm, yep, I am guilty of sometimes tuning out on those around me and checking in with those who aren’t. Oops. I feel I should also state I have become more aware of doing this and most weekends intentionally ignore my phone so I can live life in the moment. Social media will carry on without me and I can carry on without it for a couple of days a week. It may not help my stats, but it is good for my personal well being and relationships. I think it fits in well with Standfor’s motto of “Talk your Walk”
When Standfor reached out to me and asked if I would like to help spread the word about their #Quitphubbing initiative I was completely on board because I appreciated the message and it is always good to work with a company who promotes positivity. Plus their sneakers, booties, and boots are fun and unique. The shoes and designs are unisex and range in a wide variety of styles. Hunter and Spencer really liked their cool aesthetics. I selected the Illusion sneaker as I liked the pattern and colors and felt they would offer a fun spark to my summer wardrobe. When they arrived I was surprised to see they have a double sole – somehow I missed this in the photos. I really like this aspect as the cushioning feels like you are walking on a cloud. They are slightly wider than my normal sneakers, and I suppose this is because they are a unisex fit, but I enjoyed the extra roominess.

Scratches & Bruises- c/o Bear He is always so excited when I arrive home and just pounces on me uncontrollably. We are working on this…
A very simple summer look, but I like how the details added an extra splash. The hollow cutout back detail of the slub tank, the adorable lemon crossover bag, the subtle blue and grey graphic design of the the sneakers, and the sunny bit of yellow in my shorts makes this a happy look, in my opinion. Not over the top in any way, but plenty of visual interest all around. How do you like to make basic looks stand out?
