I am happy to say Irma is behind us and we did not suffer too much damage in our area of South Carolina. We did experience huge storms and high winds, resulting in a lot of debris and fallen limbs, but at least there were no power outages or flooding. I have a creek on my property and I was worried it would rise and flood my yard, as it has before. It did grow alarmingly close to spilling over, but never quite made it. We have been picking up limbs and cleaning up the past couple of evenings. Over the weekend the upstate was filled with evacuees from the coast and now they are making their way back to start clean up and recovery efforts. Charleston and other coastal cities were hit the worst with flooding, damages, and power outages.
With all the rain over this past couple of weeks, I have had plenty of opportunity to wear all my Hunter boots. While I do really like my black pair and the bubble gum pink pair, I have to say my red Hunters are my favorite. They just make me smile every time I look down. You can see other ways I have styled them here and here. On the day I took these photos it was pouring all morning and finally broke about mid-afternoon with the sun coming out for the first time in over a week. I took the opportunity to snap a few photos after work while I had the chance! With all of the rain and high winds it actually felt like fall, prompting me to pull out a sweater and scarf, which is pretty much unheard of this time of year. I just love this plaid scarf and find it so versatile. I picked it up at a local boutique last year, but this one is similar.
