The Ageless Style Link-Up – The first Tuesday of every month ten over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond.
This month Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style chose our theme and she decided to have us style a summer skirt for fall. I had a lot of fun going through my skirt collection for this style prompt and ultimately decided on this cute polka dot skirt. Even though it is navy and white, as well as a lightweight chiffon, I have styled this skirt several times for colder weather – typically with a jacket or cardigan and tights. You can check out one of these looks here.
This time around I kept things simple, as it is still on the warm side most days with a bit of chill only in the mornings and evenings. A thin sweater and burgundy booties offer just enough of a change to convey fall. Here in the deep south it will be awhile until we experience true fall weather, so I typically transition primarily with colors and my footwear. I recently started wearing my booties again as a nod to fall.
