Disclosure: The dress in this post was provided to me. All thoughts about it are completely my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed my break away from the blog over the past few days, but it’s time to get back at it again…
As you can see, I am changing my hair up again. Over the past couple of months, I have been having the red lifted from my hair, as I thought it would be fun to go silver again. Boy, let me tell you, it is a Process to get the red out. Much more involved and time consuming than I ever dreamed. Well, to be completely fair, I could have already been done with the transition phase, but I put everything on hold after the initial plunge because I thought the shade was perfect for my fox Halloween costume. Anyway, I am on to the next phase and will be going back Friday for the final phase, hopefully. Although, at this point, I think my stylist has talked me into just going blonde instead of silver because it is so high maintenance. We shall see.
Velvet is a super hot trend this season, so when I saw this dark floral velvet swing dress I thought it would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. The velvet is so soft, and I really like the double layer, slight ruffle effect at the bottom. The gold in the fabric offers a subtle shine making this dress perfect for the holidays. Oftentimes when I select a dress from Shein the length is more suited to a tunic for my personal comfort, so I was pleased when this arrived to find it is actually dress length. I typically order up in size when selecting items from Shein, but this dress runs large so my normal size would have been perfect. Since swing dresses are meant to be loose, it worked out fine in the end. I can even see wearing this belted for a more fitted look.
Have you jumped on the velvet bandwagon yet?
