Those of you who follow me on Instagram may have already seen my story last night sharing Bear “ate” my camera memory card, which unfortunately contained my photos for my next few posts. To be fair, he only chomped down on it a few times after I placed it by my laptop and went into the next room to grab something else never dreaming he might find it appetizing or think it was meant to be his latest toy. After wrangling it from his mouth I hoped it might still actually function enough for me to salvage a few photos, but, alas, that was not meant to be. I am trying not to focus on all the work I need to recover, but be grateful I have stores of photos from the past to pull from for today’s post.
Ultimately I decided to share some past photos featuring vests. Once it starts cooling down I love to throw on a cute vest as an extra layer. Quilted vests happen to be my favorite, as they don’t add extra bulk while providing warmth. As I downloaded my photos I noticed a few consistencies within them and decided to break them down into three different categories. First up is vests and stripes – evidently, when I put on a vest I automatically think of stripes! I suppose my inner preppy just comes out when cool weather rolls around.
Next category is a bit more glam with faux fur. Moto leggings, OTK boots, leopard, and black seem to be my go-to selections for this type vest.
My final category is patterned vests. They are a fun choice for pattern mixing and waking up fall and winter basics.
It’s been a fun trip down memory lane. Are you a fan of vests in colder weather? How do you like to wear yours?

Darlene of Aquamarina Style was last week’s reader’s favorite as she shared how to style a puffy vest with pizazz. Fits along perfectly with this week’s post!
Sticking with my vest theme, my favorite post was from Fonda of Savvy Southern Chic. She and Darlene are convincing me I need a white vest!
