Welcome to 9 to 5 Style! The third Monday of every month Fonda of Savvy Southern Chic and I will showcase a theme featuring our individual takes on a professional look. Our aim is to inspire and show professional style does not have to mean boring and without personality. We hope you enjoy our 9 to 5 Style!
Those of us on the east coast have been experiencing absolutely frigid low temperatures the past few weeks, and even though it has warmed up a bit, I am still not that keen to get outside in below freezing temperatures to snap photos. You Know it is pretty darn cold when they start throwing around new weather terms you have never even heard of to describe the situation. Polar Vortex – yea, that one I have heard of, even if it isn’t something those of us in the south are accustomed to experiencing. Bomb Cyclone? Bombogenesis? Mmm…ok.
This month Fonda and I are sharing how we wear boots to the office. With the freezing weather conditions we have been experiencing, boots are a fabulous way to stay warm in the winter while wearing dresses and skirt, as well as with pants. I am sharing a few different ways I have worn tall boots to work in the past. While I often wear booties to the office, I thought I would stick to boots for this post. As you will see, I am not opposed to wearing bare legs with dresses and boots, but typically our South Carolina winters are milder. If I were wearing any of those same looks today you would see me in fleece lined tights or leggings, too!
How do you like to wear your boots to the office? Make sure you stop by Fonda’s Blog, Savvy Southern Chic, to see how she is wearing her boots to work!
