Happy Monday! I hope January has been treating you well. Mine has been flying by and the weather is certainly colder than I would like, but all in all, it is going well. This weekend was full of DIY projects as I recovered an ottoman and sewed new throw pillows for the living room. I really just wanted to purchase new pillows, but nothing really caught my eye. Well, nothing I could purchase in multiples, anyway. Also, the kitties think the recovered ottoman is their new scratching post…
I also went and had my hair trimmed this weekend. So here is the thing – I have decided I want to see what my natural hair color is like. Never one to shy away from a bold choice, I figured the easiest way to get through the transition stage was to pretty much cut all the colored hair off and start over again. The little color that is still in my hair is not permanent, so it is slowly washing out. I am looking forward to seeing how this all plays out, and who knows how long it will last, but I at least want to see.
A couple of weeks ago I wore this simple red sweater and plaid pants to work. As I was heading in to the office I thought about how versatile the items were and decided I should share a few ways they could be styled.
Don’t get stuck in a style rut. Look at ways you can layer over and under your basics to change them up. Switch out shoes and accessories for a quick makeover. Shop your closet and stretch your styling options!
I am looking for Fabulous Friday Co-Hosts! It’s a great way to have your blog featured and be introduced to a new audience. If you are interested just send me a quick line ∼ [email protected]
